The Sinclair Method (TSM), is a treatment for alcohol misuse that uses the medications naltrexone or nalmefene. TSM aims to gradually decrease alcohol consumption through a process called “pharmacological extinction” where the brain’s association between alcohol and pleasure is diminished, ultimately reducing or eliminating cravings for alcohol.
